Bitumen

Bitumen is a sticky, black, highly viscous liquid or semi-solid form of petroleum. It’s primary application is road construction. It has Excellent Water Proofing Properties & is widely used for making roofing Products for household & industrial application From Emulsion, Paints to Sound Proofing.

  • VG10 or 80/100- VG10 bitumen is the softest grade of viscosity bitumen. This type of bitumen is widely used for spraying applications and surface coating. VG 10 bitumen means that your bitumen is also suitable for paving roads in a very cold climate instead of the old 80/100 penetration grade. It has the Viscosity ranging from 800 to 1,600
  • VG30 or 60/70- Bitumen Grade VG 30 is a standard viscosity grade Bitumen usually used as a paving Bitumen suitable for road construction and other industrial purposes. Bitumen VG-30 is one of the grades in high demand and oxidation of vacuum bottom in distillation tower is used to produce it. It has the Viscosity ranging from 2,200 to 3,400
  • Vg40 - The Bitumen VG 40 Marketed in India confirms to BIS Specification IS 73: 2013 for Viscosity Grade Bitumen. It is used for heavy usage roads like NHAI. It has the Viscosity ranging from 3,200 to 4,500.

Modified Bitumen

Modified bitumen is thought of as the evolutionary cousin of the built-up roofing systems (BUR) that have been used on low-slope roofs for more than 100 years. It is made of asphalt combined with polymerized rubber or plastic, then reinforced with fiberglass to create a rugged-yet-flexible waterproof membrane.

  • 85/25- Penetration Graded Bitumen 85/25 is high-quality asphalt, derived from crude petroleum refining. It is dark in color and possesses waterproofing and adhesive properties.
  • PMB- Polymer modified bitumen (PMB) is one of the specially designed and engineered bitumen grades that are used in making pavement, roads for heavy duty traffic and home roofing solutions to withstand extreme weather conditions.
  • CRMB- CRM is a mixture of bitumen and modified bitumen rubber is intrusive. The viscosity modifier rubber used asphalt binder and temperature resistance as well as resistance against brittle at low temperatures increases.
